To keep to the original design of the fish, I had to keep it simple. This time the effect is going through. From version 5, that model should have been the first model to be presented. The second one should be more like version 6.

There was a problem with becoming literal with the design so I resorted to using my old concept model made in communication 2. This is similar to the design I want to show. I was given the choice of do I want to express volume or do I want to express an agressive stance. By putting both examples in, I am seeing what direction I can go on. I prefer the volume one because it is simple but also can have elements of aggressive filtering. I will continue working on refining the communication model.

On my free time I spend as much time taking photographs of items and landscape settings so there is an influence in my concept design. I am also influenced by my Time based Elective which looks similar to the concept model I had. I made videos and movies for the assignment. They will be posted up after this.

Version 3 comments

From the Class on Friday, it was clear that the assets needed to be maximized. The main idea behind the concept was from looking from the vents. It would be be pointless to try recreate ventilation shafts however there was one thing that caught my attention. It was the fact that there was a connection between the vents and the building structure. The vents acted as a form of grabbing in air and fed it to a large machine. This feeds into the main exhaust and put outs the pollution from the cars underneath. What I am going to focus on is to emphasize an aggressive filtering system that is efficient. But also emphasize the meaning of the gills because gills work if there is a water source constantly going in one direction. The gills are located to exchange gasses against the current. The blood cells flow against the water current and when they intercept each other at the gills, they exchange gas. The wider the mouth of the fish, the more oxygen the gills can retrieve oxygen.

The next version is based around that principle however looking at a social context, the flow of citizens is equivalent to the constant stream of water. The gills which go against the current should represent a hospital that helps restore health to its people. Hence the concept is an aggressive filtering system which filters society and heals society.

Much more emphasis is required on making the model aggressive.
