Version 7 Vray rendered shots

  1. Hey Harry, the idea of testing out the ideas in 3dsMax and SketchUp was clearly very productive. The two animations below are beautiful. I'm having some trouble reconciling the image at the top of this post with the animation ... I'm assuming that the animation only shows half of it? Great stuff, go hard today. It would be great to interleave frames from the Max animation with the stop motion animation. Cheers

Hey Harry, I just thought, one thing that might give you grief is if the "blades" are too sloppy on the axis that they move around... then they would droop (not staying where you leave them between shots). I wonder if you could make a series of cutouts in strips behind them so that they "snap" into a groove ... or something like that, so it's a positive locking mechanism. It might not be necessary ... but even so, it could add a level of interaction and complexity that the model would benefit from. Not to mention that it would need something like that if scaled up, e.g. leavers or hydraulics.
